An ideal romantic retreat to get away from it all - perfect for honeymoons - on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, near Buckingham on the Bucks/Northants border. A good base for visiting Oxford, Warwick, Stratford-Upon-Avon and National Trust properties nearby. London, less than an hour by train from Milton Keynes. Take time to explore the lovely countryside, unspoilt villages and country pubs.
This idyllic 'chocolate box' 400 year old thatched stone cottage, offers 1 double bedroom, ground floor bathroom with shower over bath, lounge/diner, separate kitchen.
All white bed linen and towels included and a Welcome Pack with wine, chocolate and light breakfast provisions. All electricity and logs provided and no hidden extras - just bring your toothbrush, set your clock back 400 hundred years and relax!
The village has no shop or pub and is five miles to the nearest town and so a car is essential! |

The rolling Chiltern Hills and the beautiful Vale of Aylesbury make this one of the loveliest of the Home Counties, location for many of the scenes in TV’s Midsomer Murders. Visit the wonderful Stowe Park, one of the most ambitious of England’s great landscaped gardens, with its profusion of monuments, temples, grottoes, statues and ornamental lakes. Waddesdon Manor also makes a great day out from our holiday cottages in Buckinghamshire. Built in the style of a 16th Century French Chateau by the Rothschilds, it features some superb examples of French decorative art.
For a taste of the high life, take a trip to Cliveden, home of the Astors, while the museum at Bletchley Park gives a fascinating insight into World War II codebreakers and the enigma machine. Another fascinating place to visit here is the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Great Missenden – great for Dahl fans of all ages.
